• Much lower Utility costs.  By installing economical solar panels the majority of the average U.S. household's energy will be free from the sun.
• Increase in property value.  Instead of paying utility bills the homeowner would be paying off the loan on the solar equipment. And after that the energy would be free!
• Cheaper Gas prices - everyone will benefit from a massive reduction in the need for fossil fuel, especially at the pump!
  

The production of inexpensive solar solutions will provide a renewable energy plan that will actually save homeowners money on their energy bill, instead of costing them more as many of the plans involving the energy companies would.  Also with government backed financing the owner would be paying to increase the value of their property instead of tossing the money to the oil producers.  

Then of course once the solar equipment is paid for (say within 5 years) energy would be free until the panels, batteries and such needed replacement.Solar equipment should be as common in a home as a hot water heater or air conditioner.  If manufactured in an economy of scale that is sufficient its cost would be no more than these other "basic" items.
